FIREFIGHTING HELICOPTERS 2018/19 AT MOORABBIN PART 1

Fire fighting Blackhawk N563DJ flew down from Scone NSW to assist with the Bunyip state park fire. N563DJ is owned by Timberline Helicopters based out of Idaho in the US.

while the YMMB based aircrane Helitack 342 was busy N218AC was flown in from South Australia to replace 342 while it was fighting fires.

Helitack 345 was flown in from Bacchus Marsh to help fight the Bunyip bushfire. 345 is operated by Kestrel aviation.

Helitack 330 arrived from Latrobe valley airport after spending the day fighting fires.

VH-FAI visits Moorabbin

Dassault Falcon VH-FAI visits Moorabbin

VH-FAI, a Dassault Falcon F20 flew down from Sydney on Sunday arriving at 12:42 PM. it taxied to the terminal and parked in the front row were it sat for a couple of hours. when I returned to the airport there was a transport ambulance parked next alongside the jet. after the ambulance left one of the pilots did a quick inspection of the plane before closing the doors and starting both engines. after the engines were started it started its taxi to 35R. after lining up on the runway it started its flight to Canberra at 3:38 PM for an arrival time of 4:17 PM.
